Godolphin House: Halloween Happenings
Helston 24 October until 1 November,10am – 5pm
This Halloween there’ll be lots of tricks and treats for everyone at Godolphin. Prepare to be scared with tales of ghosts that have haunted the estate in spooky storytelling around the grounds. Transform into a ghoulish ghost or menacing monster with Halloween face painting and made your own bat box to welcome your very own winged-friend.
Trengwainton Garden: Pumpkin Fun Day
Penzance 25 October, 11am
No tricks, just treats! Join in the pumpkin games and try your hand at pumpkin carving, then feast on pumpkin dishes in the tea-room. The ultimate day for pumpkin fans.
Cornwall Gold: Halloween Take-Over
Portreath 25 October until 1 November
Cornwall Gold is set for a Halloween take-over this half-term. Tolgus Stream Panning will open from Wednesday, October 28 until November 1 with some spooky new additions – will you find a treat like fool’s gold and gems, or will your pan be full of creepy crawly tricks? There’ll also be a series of terrifying tasters from October 25 to 31 and over at Paint and Create and the Bear Works there will be a week of fang-tastic fun culminating with a Halloween Party on Friday, October 30 from 2pm to 4pm. Expect apple bobbing, grab a doughnut, lucky dip, face-painting and prizes for best Halloween fancy dress!
Cotehele: Freak Week
Saltash 26 October-1 November
Get set for lots of freaky happenings at National Trust Cotehele. The mill will be treated to a spooky makeover with a children’s Halloween trail and ghoulish baking while spirit hunters will be challenged to take a self-guided tour of the house – watch out, you may discover sinister presences lurking! Down at the Quay during half-term there will be daily spooky crafts, including monster making and pumpkin carving, and remember your torch on 31st October for Fright Night at Cotehele House.
Pendennis Castle: Spooky Halloween Tours
Falmouth 29 until the 31 October, 6pm for children, 7pm and 8pm for adults
Are you brave enough to take on the challenge of the after-hours Pendennis Castle spooky tour this Halloween? The eerie evening tour promises tales of ghostly apparitions, dastardly deeds, and ghoulish goings-on. During half term (26th to 30th October) little horrors can also scare themselves silly in a Pirate-themed exploration of the terrifying tales of Pendennis’ piratical past. Meet the most salty of seadogs, Captain Bones, and embark on a bone-chilling quest to find the buccaneers ill-gotten gains.
Eden Project: Little Monster’s Ball
St Austell 31 October, 6pm – 9pm
Get your fancy dress on and visit the Eden Project from 6pm on 31st October for a spooky evening of fang-tastic fun for all the family. There’ll be plenty of creepy activities, tasty treats in the cafes and restaurants and a good bone-shaking disco in the Olive Grooveyard. The ice ring will also be open for a skate that is sure to chill you to the bone! And visit Halloweden throughout half term for a whole host of activities themed around Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s ‘Room on the Broom’ as well as a wishcraft tent.
National Maritime Museum: Halloween Trick or Treat Tour
Falmouth 30 October, 6.30-8.30pm
Spooky shenanigans are guaranteed with the Maritime’s Halloween trick or treat tour. As darkness falls craft your very own monster masks, bloodcurdling badges and trick or treat baskets, before setting off on a torch lit tour of the Museum. Discover ghosts and ghouls in the galleries and join in the creepy costume parade. Will you get a trick or treat?
