Saltrock to run Christmas Tree Appeal and Seasonal Events at Cornwall Services
The Saltrock store at Cornwall Services has launched a special Christmas tree appeal to help bring Christmas joy to some deserving children in Cornwall. It is calling for members of the public to buy a small present to put under the tree in store, and these will be distributed via Treliske Hospital’s Children’s Ward, Cornwall’s Women and Children Refuges and Five Rivers.
Store Manager, Vanda Wright, explains: “This year we wanted to do something to embrace the true spirit of Christmas. The Christmas tree appeal will help brighten the lives of some very deserving Cornish children this December. All people need to do is pick a gift tag off our tree and buy the present listed on it, then drop off the purchased gift and completed tag back in store. We will then make sure the presents are distributed in time for Christmas Day.”
All presents need to be dropped off in store by 15th December. If people would prefer to choose their own gift, rather than a suggestion from the gift tags, then they simply need to write on the present what it is and what age group it is for.
As well as the Christmas tree appeal, there is more festive fun planned in store, including ‘Guess the name of Santa’s Elf’ competition and an ‘Elf Mail’ service – post a letter to Father Christmas via the in-store postbox and he will write back!
There will also be a Mulled Wine and Mince Pie Evening on Thursday 8th December from 6pm-9pm. Come along and join them for festive fun including music, singers, food and drink, prize raffle and 20% off all Saltrock products for the evening. All proceeds from the raffles and Elf Mail Service will go towards purchasing further gifts for the Christmas tree appeal.
